The Junction

Hung Dao

Many times I walk this road alone
A dirt road like any other
But today with you in my arms
All things possessed magical charms
The road became a river of gold
Wondrous things happened
There's a spring in my footsteps
We sang, We danced
We sheltered in the rain
You look so beautiful and bright
In the sunlight

Then the road reached a junction
A goodbye and a wave
I stood momentarily
Watch you disappeared
Out of sight
Out of mind

I walked this road again
Back where I came
Life is the same

But not the same
