Making A Difference!

Garima Saxena

Why do underprivileged have to suffer death each day!

Why can't God help just to take it away!

Whenever I see a crippled helpless to walk,

Or a mentally abused who's suffered a great shock,

My heart is filled with immense grief,

Why shouldn't God end or make it brief!

But at times I feel this isn't right ,

To leave it to God to bring the daylight,

Shouldn't I play the God assigned part,

And ensure that they are not thrown apart.

Sure I can try for a little smile on some lip,

If not much but to blossom some like a tender tulip.

Sure I can try for making a difference,

To twinkle some hearts with self confidence.

Help them recognize their inner strength,

And make some each their goals a length.

Make them realize they are not less in anyway,

Do my bit I can and not just be content with pray.

Putting in their shoes to understand-

How hopeless could it be without a supporting hand.

I definitely can shower them with immense love,

And sparkle their lives and eyes with dove.

Meaning to life ,aim and existence-

I got to search and it's not subservience to a pence.

Thankful to Lord I am for whatever he has endowed me,

Sharing with despaired and underprivileged only can I be.
