The Outer Borders

Adam Malin

I surrendered my spot at the pinnacle

and dove headlong passing even the abyss

unable and unwilling to break my freefall

a fall from grace of epic proportions

that place between the living and the dead

eventually is where i set up camp

a place between heaven and hell

a conscious decision now to be reached

but quickly while the light still flickers

i now stand at the outer borders

the borders of the point of no return
