Rose of Love

Andrea Lane

When pain bestows upon a broken heart, and trust, a long lost friend,

When the light becomes dark and there is no end, to torment and wretched
pain,

When you feel like a part of your being is gone, unlikely to light your way,

And you look back in anguish & question why, do i deserve this pain?

Rememeber that love is all so blinding and cruel in the hands of the cold,

The beauty can only ever survive, when equally shared & held,

Like the rose, close your petals and shed your pain, until ready to bloom
again,

Go slow, take heed, but don't stop trying, when found, there is nothing
quite like it,

To look into eyes that say it all, without ever moving your lips,

To hold another's heart in your hand & to give yours in return,

There is no greater gift to give or receive in all the entire world,

Reach out & love for when all else is gone, that beauty will stay forever.
