Speechless Admiration (For Liz)

Daniel Goodrich

What can I say to you that equates,
to you with such beauty, such care, such grace.
A heart so forgiving, it just waits.
A soul attached to mine in lace.

So honest is your love for me.
So kind and soft, your sweet touch.
I say as I kneel on one knee,
"Dearest Liz I love you so much".

My mistakes have been brutal.
The pain to hurtfull to say.
My self-repair is crutial
for that special future day.

When I re-earn your trust.
Peering into your eyes,
I will learn to be just
and not a disgiuise.
