Sunrise

Vickie Psihogios

Light escapes the bondage of night

Slowly at first, fearing recapture.

The birds in every tree top can sense a new beggining.

Their song of freedom and joy ring out inciting the sun to rebel.

Embrace us with your warmth,

Excite us with colour, they sing louder and louder.

With arms outstretched she breakes breakes free from her captor

Comsuming the darkness, erasing our memories of its existance
